Dr. Jeffrey Schevitz
I have been a member of the Munich-American Peace Committee since 1999 and active in the peace movement since 1964, first in Berkeley, California, then in St. Louis, Missouri.
I’m not a so-called Putin understander. I am an American, born and raised at the same time in the 1940’s as President Joe Biden in our shared hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.
I am a Biden understander and I don’t like what I understand of him and his policies at all. As an American political scientist, I understand how the U.S. military and government operates and plans and prepares for wars.
We, as Americans from Munich-American Peace Committee know that this war has been carefully planned by the U.S. military and think tanks in America since at least 2012. Yes, since 2012.
And now on February 08, 15 days ago, multiple international award-winning U.S. journalist Seymour Hersh revealed the latest chapter in this long chain of criminal planning. He revealed that a U.S. Navy Special Forces unit, with the help of Norway, planted underwater explosives on the German-Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines in the summer of 2022 and remotely detonated these explosives in September 2022. Planning for this American act of war began in the spring of 2021, even before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
An earlier Nord Stream pipeline already supplied Germany and Western Europe with Russian gas and provided a cheap and readily available source of fuel for the continent’s heat and power supply.
With the introduction of the second pipeline, Europe would have become virtually energy independent of the United States, and this is something President Biden certainly did not want!
This fact would have meant that the continent of Europe could also move politically in a neutral direction or independent of USA.
By destroying the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, the USA can not only harm Russia immensely economically, but also shape the Western European energy sector in line with American economic and security interests.
The U.S. military, backed by NATO, has been preparing for aggressive efforts to weaken Russia since the end of the Cold War by expanding its membership to Eastern and Central Asian countries and conducting its large-scale war games in those countries under the belly of the Russian Federation. President Jimmy Carter’s political advisor, Brezezinski, began drafting the plans for this war in Ukraine and Poland in 1977. Now his plan, which he titled as a book in 1997, “The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives,” – is being put into action.
The United States, as the “first, only real and last world power” after the collapse of the Soviet Union, would have to secure its dominance on the “great chessboard” of Eurasia in the short and medium term, thus enabling a new world order in the long term.
In 2019, the RAND Corporation, a think tank close to the U.S. military, published a comprehensive plan titled, “Overextending and Unbalancing Russia,” with a catalog of measures against Russia. The most important measure aimed to arm Ukraine and provide military advice to spark a conflict with Russia.
In 2020, NATO played out the large-scale military exercise DEFENDER 2020. This was to practice the use of tactical nuclear weapons. This exercise was the prelude of today, should NATO intervene in this war in 2023.
Today we know, as former German Chancellor Angela Merkel recently admitted, that the Minsk Peace Agreement, Minsk 2 of February 2015 was only to buy time for NATO to create the best forces in Eastern Europe trained to NATO standards.
U.S. journalist Seymour Hersh realizes through his investigation that by blowing up vital German infrastructure, namely the Nord Stream gas pipelines, Germany is completely cut off from Russian gas. German sovereignty was disregarded in the process.
The Americans correctly predicted that the German Chancellor Scholz, would prove his vassal role, namely no outrage, even not a peep would be said when Nord Stream 1 and 2 were blown up on September 22, 2022.
Don’t be vassals here in Kaufbeuren, say NO to endless U.S. wars “.
We Americans in the U.S. peace movement plan across America in a month on March 18-19 demonstrations with the demand: “Peace in Ukraine, say NO to endless U.S. wars “.
